When is a good time to start potty training? Take your time and be patient!
When is the right time to potty train? Don\’t panic and explain to your friends that your child still has time. Some mothers put their children in the potty as early as one year old, some babies learn to use the potty at two years old, and others take longer. Certainly, just because your baby can\’t go potty yet doesn\’t mean he or she is weird or behind. But if you want your child to enter kindergarten, you must get him or her out of diapers. But if not, don\’t be in a hurry. Anyway, you won\’t be able to start potty training until your child wants to start toilet training.
Don\’t force it, take it slow
The potty is an unknown thing to your child, and he may not want to use it at all, or he may not understand what is being asked of him and want to run away when you try to sit on it. That is also fine. Your efforts may be in vain. On the other hand, some children learn to use the potty within a few days. If you think it\’s time to start potty training, start. Take it slowly, little by little. First, show your child the potty and explain what it is and what it does in an age-appropriate way. Use toys or a picture book to explain. Once this step-by-step introduction has been completed, move on to the next step.
First potty training, then what next?
Have you fully explained to your child what toileting is? See how successful you were. Remove the baby\’s diaper and have the baby sit on the potty. The child will either stay seated or get up and play with the potty, maybe even run away and continue to ignore the potty. If this happens, you will have to start over again and again. Ideally, you should try to get your child to sit on the potty several times a day: morning, noon, afternoon, and evening. But if your child keeps running away from the potty or cries or throws a tantrum, don\’t stress, put it off. Some children prefer to sit on the potty rather than the potty.
Be patient and don\’t panic. Little kids will figure it out quickly.
