Before and Now
Mobile phones used to cost a fortune and were really only for making phone calls; two-line displays were a gimmick not everyone had and reading texts was already easy. Today, no one, except collectors, would want such a device. Except collectors, of course. But that is their hobby, so what the heck. In the past, companies competed with each other to produce smaller and lighter cell phones. So gentlemen really bragged about who had the smaller one. I don\’t think you can do that now. Who doesn\’t have a proper badge, as if it doesn\’t exist. Without cell phones, you wouldn\’t even get paid today.
The company can\’t put it in your hands because the government will lose control of it and they will cheat you out of your taxes for the full 50 crowns. Therefore, companies have to transfer their salaries to the bank, and you have to have an account there. It\’s linked to your cell phone. If they don\’t, they won\’t make a dent. The people at the top don\’t think that\’s silly. Now cell phones have direct access to the banking system and can manage entire accounts directly from there. This was completely unthinkable in the past. Well, progress is progress. The price of cell phones before explicitly scared away ordinary people who said they couldn\’t afford it and would never own such a thing. And today. You can get the cheapest one in the classifieds for 200 kronor. Not a good one by any means, but it still gets the job done.
But a better phone can be in the range of our half-year income. And this can still be called the average category. In other words, if you pay around $50,000 for one of these, you are getting something of relatively high quality. But Google\’s pixel fold, for example, costs $400,000, not even a penny. No, this is not a typo; these prices are actually on the Internet. That is, as of this writing.
So take a look at what you have and remember how much that flat friend cost.
